Dar Brooks

Darlene specializes in imaginative abstract designs. She enjoys the spontaneity of using water media in her expressive experimental image making. She has developed a unique method of layering water media paints with an array of customized papers, allowing for maximum creative freedom.

Darlene has exhibited extensively in the Upper Midwest. Her work has found a home in corporate and private collections. She exhibits in local galleries, schools, hospitals and restaurants.

Darlene treasures her education, which has given her the opportunity to study worldwide with national known artists such as Maxine Masterfield, Frank Webb, Barbara Nechis and Louise Cadillac.

She teaches mixed media collage workshops at Edina Art Center.
