Dorothy
holds her MFA from University of Minnesota. She is a founding member of
WARM (Women’s Art Registry of Minnesota) and has exhibited her work
locally and nationally.
“Art making is an intuitive process that brings me into dialogue with
myself. I try to initiate this process in my students. Honesty to self -
the more specified, the more personal you can be, thus allowing the art work to
be unique and have meaning.
As an artist, I try to say something about universal mystery, magic and
the interconnectedness of all things. I consider my art to be inner
landscapes, both externally and internally. Landscape is a very broad
term for all of which I see and feel. In this search I feel tremendous
intensification of self, and loss of self, in a spiritual and timeless
landscape.”
Dorothy teaches Painting Studio at Edina Art Center.
